Nacido en Buenos Aires en 1978, Bruno Nesci comenzó a tocar la guitarra a los 15 años. A los 20, cambió su enfoque al bajo eléctrico y al jazz, después de haber crecido escuchando música country en el entorno familiar. Antes de dedicarse de lleno al country, compartió escenario con destacados músicos argentinos como Miguel Zavaleta, Mariano Otero, Jorge Araujo y Oscar Giunta, entre otros. Fue cofundador de Pehuajazz, una reconocida clínica y serie de conciertos de jazz en Buenos Aires. En 2012 grabó su primer álbum de jazz, candombe y música brasileña, junto a músicos argentinos y estadounidenses de renombre.

Just Like That:
La guitarra y el fiddle danzante abren esta canción country de estilo two-step clásico, impregnada de una lírica melancólica. Disfrutamos de un solo de guitarra preciso, y el ritmo con swing ofrece un contrapunto perfecto a la voz de barítono de Bruno.
Beer Pals Polka:
A toda velocidad, cuatro excelentes músicos se lanzan sobre esta composición de Nesci. El nivel de ejecución es altísimo en esta polca alegre que tiene un distintivo sabor europeo, en parte gracias al acordeón fulgurante de Javier Acevedo.
You Know What I Mean:
El ritmo favorito de todos los bajistas country, ese viejo shuffle al estilo Ray Price, sostiene este country swing con sabor tejano, coronado con un brillante trabajo de guitarra jazzera y pedal steel.
Little Red Windmill:
Bruno Nesci tiene un don para los instrumentales que combinan armonías densas sin dejar de sonar abiertos y musicales. Este tema no es la excepción: una base constante de four-to-the-bar sostiene solos melódicos de guitarra, acordeón y clarinete.
Crazy Car:
Fiel a la tradición country, esta es una oda a un coche: el coche loco de Bruno. Él se encarga de la voz, guitarras eléctrica y acústica, y bajo, mientras Diego Rubinstein aporta el ritmo rockero en el cierre del EP.

Born in Buenos Aires in 1978, Bruno Nesci began playing guitar at the age of 15. At 20, he shifted his focus to electric bass and jazz, having grown up listening to country music in his family. Before dedicating himself to country, he shared the stage with prominent Argentine musicians such as Miguel Zavaleta, Mariano Otero, Jorge Araujo, and Oscar Giunta, among others. He co-founded Pehuajazz, a renowned jazz clinic and concert series in Buenos Aires. In 2012, he recorded his first album of jazz, candombe, and Brazilian music, featuring acclaimed Argentine and American musicians.

Track by Track:
Just Like That: Guitar and dancing fiddle open this classic two step feel country song tinged with lyrical regret. We are treated to a tidy guitar solo and the swinging rhythm lays down a fitting counterpoint to Brunos baritone voice.
Beer Pals Polka: Flat out flying now as four fine musicians take on Nesci’s composition. Some top notch playing is on display in an upbeat polka that feels distinctly European partly due to Javier Acevedo’s blazing accordion.
You know what I mean: Every country bass players favorite groove, that old Ray Price shuffle underpins this Texas flavored country swing that’s topped off with excellent jazz guitar and pedal steel work.
Little red Windmill: Bruno Nesci has a talent for instrumentals that combine dense harmonies and yet still manage to feel open and musical. This is no exception as steady four to the bar comping lays the foundation for lyrical solos on guitar accordion and clarinet.
Crazy Car: In true country tradition this is an ode to a car, Bruno’s crazy car and he lays down vocals, electric/acoustic guitars and bass as Diego Rubinstein lends the rockin’ rhythm to this, the last song on the E.P.
Summary
Bruno Nesci’s country credentials were recently confirmed at the highest level when he won the International Line Dance Association award as the best Latin country artist and was entered into the ILDA hall of fame. Originally planned as an album, this 5-track EP features original compositions in western swing and honky tonk styles with an all-star lineup. the musicians are top notch and its well worth a listen.
